Linie losu wedding rings were created as a bespoke commission. The pattern was not invented by a designer and does not imitate a decorative ornament: the lines were transferred onto the metal from the couple’s own fingerprints.

The name Linie losu means “lines of fate”. In this design, the meaning becomes literal: the unique pattern of the skin becomes part of the wedding ring and a symbol of the bond between two people. The design cannot be reproduced exactly for another couple because every fingerprint is unique.

The defining feature of Linie losu is the personalised relief based on the fingerprints of the future owners. Fine lines, curves and distinctive whorls preserve the natural pattern and transform the metal surface into a personal sign.

The fingerprint does not resemble a random texture. When viewed closely, its organic structure becomes visible: the lines meet, change direction and form a unique composition. As the hand moves, the relief reflects light differently from the polished areas of the ring, making the pattern more visible from different angles.

These wedding rings are designed for couples who want to give their jewellery a deeply personal meaning without relying on literal inscriptions or traditional wedding symbols.

A fingerprint is closely connected with touch, one of the most natural expressions of closeness. In Linie losu, that gesture becomes part of a piece of jewellery worn every day.

The process begins with taking the fingerprints. It is important to obtain a clear image in which the main lines and distinctive details are easy to see. The image is then prepared for transfer onto the surface of the future ring.

The pattern must be adapted to the shape of the jewellery. A fingerprint is initially captured on a flat surface, while a ring is curved and has a specific width and volume. The image therefore cannot simply be placed mechanically onto the metal. Its recognisable character must be preserved while creating a balanced composition.

At the modelling stage, we consider:

• the width and proportions of the ring;
• the position of the fingerprint;
• the direction of the lines;
• the depth of the future relief;
• the transitions between textured and polished surfaces;
• the clarity of the pattern after the metal is finished.

This allows the personal fingerprint to become an integral part of the design rather than a separate decorative element.

3D modelling is used to create fingerprint wedding rings. It allows us to prepare a precise three-dimensional model and determine in advance how the individual pattern will be arranged across the curved surface.

During the modelling process, the specialist adjusts the scale and position of the relief to the dimensions of each ring. This is particularly important when finger sizes or ring widths differ: the fingerprints should retain their natural character and look harmonious on both pieces.

The 3D model makes it possible to assess:

• the overall shape of the ring;
• the area covered by the fingerprint;
• the depth and definition of the lines;
• the transition from relief to polished metal;
• the appearance of the ring from different angles;
• the relationship between both rings as a pair.

Once approved, the digital model becomes the basis for production. It helps transfer the agreed shape accurately and preserve the individual features of the fingerprint.

A 3D visualisation primarily shows the construction and placement of details. The true shine of the metal, the way it interacts with light and the tactile quality of the relief can only be fully appreciated in the finished ring.

Even a precise digital model is only one stage of the process. Once the basic form has been created, the rings undergo further jewellery finishing: the relief is refined, the surface is completed and the polished areas are brought to their final shine.

The Linie losu model is 7 mm wide. This surface provides enough space to display the fingerprint lines clearly and preserve their definition. A wide ring feels different on the finger than a narrow one, so an accurate size and a carefully selected inner profile are especially important.

During aconsultation, the size can be determined with professional ring sizers and the fit can be assessed on the hand. We consider not only the finger circumference, but also the width of the ring, the shape of the knuckle and the wearer’s natural sensations during movement.

Comfort is just as important as appearance because wedding rings are intended for everyday wear.

Linie losu can be made ingold of a selected fineness or in platinum. Fineness indicates the proportion of pure precious metal in the alloy. The chosen option affects the colour, density, weight and final cost of the pair.

Gold with a fineness of 585 combines a refined appearance with practicality. Gold with a fineness of 750 contains a higher proportion of pure gold and therefore has a richer tone.Platinum 950 has a naturally light colour and high density.

On a light-coloured metal, the relief appears graphic and understated. In a warm shade of gold, the fingerprints look softer and become especially expressive in natural light. The most suitable metal is best chosen by comparing physical samples.

The personal fingerprint already makes the wedding rings unique, but the inner surface can also be completed with anengraving. This may be the wedding date, initials, a short phrase or another personal message.

Two layers of meaning are then brought together in one piece: the fingerprint associated with touch remains on the outside, while words or a date known only to the couple are placed inside.
