Blask kontrastów bespoke wedding rings are an individual project developed by KiANIT. Both rings followone coherent design concept, combining a sculptural texture, a repeating geometric pattern and a decorative row of gemstones. The differences are intentionally subtle: the rings vary slightly in width, and each one features a different selection of stones.

The name Blask kontrastów means “the brilliance of contrasts”. In this pair, contrast is not created by two completely different designs, but by small variations within a shared composition. As a result, the rings clearly belong together while retaining their individual character.

This approach is ideal for couples who want matching wedding rings without making them completely identical. Individual character can be expressed through:

• a subtle difference in width;
• different gemstones;
• the tone of the decorative stone setting;
• personalised engraving;
• individual sizing and fit.

The finished rings preserve one visual idea while still feeling personal to each wearer.

The defining feature of Blask kontrastów is its intricate relief. Repeating lines create a clear visual rhythm and give the surface a sculptural quality. As the hand moves, light reflects from the raised elements, allowing the rings to reveal different details under changing light.

The creation of Blask kontrastów began with a conversation about the couple’s preferences: the desired shape, width, metal, surface finish and decorative accents.

A photograph, an ornament, an architectural detail, a favourite texture or even a description of a particular mood can become the starting point for a new design.

During theconsultation, we discuss:

• the shape and proportions of the rings;
• the width of each piece;
• the metal and fineness;
• the relief and surface finish;
• the colour and placement of the gemstones;
• the inner profile;
• personalised engraving.

The idea is then adapted to the practical requirements of fine jewellery. The goal is not only to preserve the intended aesthetic, but also to consider dimensions, construction and comfort for everyday wear.

3D modelling is used to develop this pair. It transforms the initial idea into a precise three-dimensional model and makes it possible to assess the future rings from different angles before production begins.

For Blask kontrastów, 3D modelling helped us establish one consistent pattern for both rings while accounting for the slight difference in width. This is particularly important for matching wedding rings: even when their dimensions differ, they should preserve the same rhythm, proportions and visual identity.

At the 3D modelling stage, it is possible to assess:

• the overall shape of the rings;
• the difference in width;
• the height and depth of the relief;
• the placement of the decorative gemstone rows;
• the proportions of individual elements;
• the visual relationship between both rings.

A 3D visualisation helps the couple understand the future design before manufacturing and makes detailed discussions more precise. It is worth remembering that an on-screen image primarily shows form and construction. The true colour of the metal, the brilliance of the stones and the way light interacts with the surface are best judged from physical samples and finished jewellery.

Once approved, the 3D model becomes the basis for the next stages of production. It allows the agreed proportions to be transferred accurately, keeps the pattern consistent across both rings and helps position the decorative elements correctly.

A digital model is only one part of the process. The final character of the jewellery emerges through working with the metal, creating the relief,setting the gemstones, finishing the surface and completing the final details by hand. At these stages, a precise technical structure becomes a finished piece of fine jewellery.

Bespoke wedding rings can be made in gold of a selected fineness or in platinum.Fineness indicates the proportion of pure precious metal in an alloy. It influences the material’s properties, colour, weight and final cost.

14K gold, corresponding to a fineness of 585, is valued for its balance of practicality and refined appearance. 18K gold, corresponding to 750 fineness, contains a higher proportion of pure gold and therefore has a richer tone. Platinum 950 has a naturally light colour and a high density.

The metal is selected according to the design, ring width, complexity of the relief and the preferences of the future owners. Thecost of a bespoke project depends on the metal, fineness, weight, sizes, selected gemstones and construction, and is calculated individually.

Blask kontrastów demonstrates how one design can be adapted for two people. The shared shape and texture connect the rings, while the slight difference in width and the contrasting gemstones express the individuality of each wearer.
